Easy
15 minutes
(rest for 1 to 3 hours)
For about 1.5 liters of lemonade
Squeeze the lemons to extract all of their juice. You can strain the juice through a sieve for a pulp-free lemonade.
In a saucepan, heat a small glass of water with the honey until you get a smooth mixture with a syrup-like texture.
Combine the lemon juice, syrup and remaining water in a large carafe.
Add a few mint leaves for a delicate flavour, then leave to sit in the fridge for at least an hour.
Serve chilled, with ice cubes and a touch of lemon zest to enhance the flavour.
For an Alsace take on the classic, you can replace the mint with elderflower. Infuse your lemonade with a few elderflower sprigs for a floral touch that creates the ultimate springtime drink.
Treat yourself to an authentic indulgent refreshment break with your freshly prepared homemade lemonade, accompanied by our traditional Alsace biscuits. Our Springtime tin, filled with all-butter biscuits and soft almond bredele, goes perfectly with a chilled glass of lemonade in the spring sunshine. The contrast between the sweetness of the biscuits and the freshness of the lemonade will delight even the fussiest tastebuds.
