The Macaron de Riquewihr® was our Maison's very first speciality. The recipe for this grooved, soft-centred dome is based on coconut and cane sugar, and hasn't been altered since its creation in 1996 !

A Bredele with a surprising twist
Coconut and sugar cane are ingredients evoking images of far-off, tropical islands, but rest assured, the Macaron de Riquewihr® is a traditional Alsace Bredele, originally named Kokosmakronen. This biscuit stands out with its carefully honed recipe and its alluring, sweet aromas, not to mention its grooved dome shape and meltingly soft texture.
At the origin of our Maison
Created in 1996, the Macaron de Riquewihr® was our Maison's very first speciality. At the very start of our story, these biscuits were lovingly handmade and sold by our founder, Jean-Marc Muller, in our very first atelier in Riquewihr. Today, our biscuitiers still use the original recipe to bake our Macarons de Riquewihr®, which is most certainly why their success has never wavered.
A unique flavour that, once you tried, you'll recognise instantly!
We make these superb little grooved domes with ingredients that have been carefully hand-selected, ensuring optimal tasting quality. Baked until golden, they deliver all the freshness of coconut together with the sweet, soft tones of cane sugar. As they say imitation is the greatest form of flattery, and its success has given rise to countless copies, but nothing beats our original Macaron de Riquewihr®. It represents the union of our traditions, our region, and our expertise.
Our Maison is going to let you in on a little secret that will enable you to enjoy all the flavours and aromas of out Macaron de Riquewihr® at its finest: Place them in the oven at 180°C for just a few minutes, and you'll be able to enjoy the fantastic, sweet aromas drifting through your home, not to mention that added crunch to the delicacy's exterior…
Coconut 43.5%, sugar, EGG, dextrose, flour (GLUTEN), inverted sugar syrup, humectant: sorbitol
All our products are made in a bakery which also works with wheat flour (gluten), milk (lactose), eggs, nuts (almond, hazelnut, pistachio, walnut), sesame, soya derivatives, peanuts and ingredients which may contain traces of sulphites.
